Constitution Marsh Audubon Center and Sanctuary is a unique and beautiful tidal marsh located in Putnam County, New York, and serves as vital natural habitat in the Hudson River Estuary. It is situated on the east shore of the Hudson River, just south of the village of Cold Spring. The marsh is an Audubon New York Important Bird Area, a New York State Bird Conservation Area, and is designated as a Significant Coastal Fish and Wildlife Habitat.

We conduct nature education programs for visiting groups, bird studies, invasive species management, and habitat restoration efforts. Please read our FAQ page for important information and a safe and enjoyable visit, and explore the above menus to learn more about Audubon New York's stewardship and education programs devoted to the conservation of birds, other wildlife, and their habitats across New York State.

Audubon fosters an inclusive community that honors individuals of all races, cultures, abilities, religions, sexual orientations, gender expressions, and identities. Click here to read Audubon's full statement on equity, diversity, and inclusion.
