VISITOR’S CENTER AND TRAIL
The Constitution Marsh Visitor Center is currently closed. The Trails at Constitution Marsh are open to the public everyday from sunrise to sunset. There is currently no parking on-site at Constitution Marsh Audubon Center. Please see below for parking options.
No dogs are allowed on the site EXCEPT for ADA service dogs that provide a specific task that is directly related to a person's disability. Service animals are working animals, not pets.
Due to our programming and conservation research, please contact us ahead of time if you plan on having a large, unguided, group visit, or would like to visit outside of our normal hours. This will ensure an enjoyable visit for everyone.
The trail to the marsh is less than a mile in length, and has some moderately steep and rocky sections, so sturdy footwear is required. The hiking trail leads to a boardwalk, built-in-memory of the late sanctuary biologist and Warden, James P. Rod. There are benches to take in the marsh habitat, its wildlife, and an unmatched view of the surrounding Hudson River Highlands.
Please visit our FAQs page for important information and a safe and enjoyable visit.
DIRECTIONS, PARKING, AND ACCESS
Our grounds remain accessible to kayakers/boaters, as well as visitors on-foot via the options described below. We are currently developing solutions to allow managed visitation at the Center and on the grounds, such as pre-scheduled group visits, and volunteer days.
Our grounds/trail can currently be accessed by the following ways:
- Drop off via Uber or other means at the intersection of Indian Brook Road and Warren Landing Road.
- Cold Spring Trolley - (Available Saturdays and Sundays from Memorial Day to Veterans Day Weekend): In addition to its regular stops, the trolley will stop at Constitution Marsh (9D and Indian Brook Road) upon request for the 9, 10, and 11 a.m. trolleys with an estimated arrival of around 40 past the hour. On the PM routes, passengers may request getting dropped off at Constitution Marsh on the 1 and 3 p.m. trolleys, but not the 12, 2, or 4 p.m. trolleys.
- Access through Boscobel House and Gardens View map here. Located at 1601 Route 9D, Garrison, NY, 10524. No reservations needed. Please be sure to contact Boscobel to confirm their parking hours before arrival.
