Our Audubon flock mourns the passing of Ralph Odell, a founder of the Putnam Highlands Audubon Society, board member and president of the Bedford Audubon Society, and long-time advisor and friend of Constitution Marsh.
Ralph's life-long commitment to bird conservation and to our work at Audubon is without equal, as was his ability to encourage and mentor young birders who showed great promise in the field of conservation. His dedication to our organization leaves a lasting legacy that will not diminish with his passing.
Future generations will benefit from Ralph’s work in land protection in New York State Parks and as an advisor to Governor George Pataki. And his lasting friendship with, guidance to, and influence on all of the staff at Constitution Marsh over the years will long be remembered and cherished.
